This is the most expensive keyboard from Razer currently and it is a brand new type of keyboard from them. The Huntsman V2 Analog keyboard isn’t a new idea per se as other companies have created keyboards that have different variable actuation and actuation release, but Razer is a major company and have entered this domain as mainstream.

Razer Huntsman V2 Analog – Design
The Huntsman V2 Analog looks like previous Huntsman Keyboards from Razer and you’ll see the familiar plush wrist rest as well as the Chroma lights that surround them and the dial on the right hand corner. These are bright and configurable with many color streams through the Chroma software. Also on the left hand side we have a handy USB 3.0 throughput that lets you connect to your computer’s USB 3.0 port and connect your phone, external drive, or other peripherals you use. The rest is pretty standard as you can see in the Razer Huntsman V2 Analog review video below. As for powering the keyboard you use the USB C cable that’s attached to the keyboard. Hopefully your laptop has such a port but if not, don’t despair. Razer has included a handy little converter from USB C to USB for your connecting pleasure.
Another thing to note is that the wristpad is a must for this keyboard as it sits pretty high from your desk. Razer keyboards are known to be thick and this is no exception. Thankfully the wristpad that comes with is very comfortable to use and the lighting glow around it really looks sexy on your table. Good job Razer.

V2 Analog Actuation Keys
The newsworthy portion is the way the new keys work. Most keyboards have a binary 0 or 1 type of method to it. In other words its on or off. However with Razer’s Huntsman V2 Analog, each key is able to have a measurement of input from 1.5 mm to 3.6 mm. By setting the desired input on your Synapse, you can check out how when to register an input and when to release it. This gives much more control and freedom to otherwise normal keys. The analog input allows Razer key’s to work as a joystick that can give you smooth motion and 360 degrees motion, just like a thumbstick. How much advantage this will be in a game, it is up to the gamer’s skill and usage of this technology.
Also the Razer Huntsman V2 Analog has another skill up it’s sleeve. This one is more of a game changer than the other 2 mentioned parts and that is the Dual-Step Actuation. By allowing two functions per key, users now have a variety of game changing activities they can preset into the hardware. Like a macro, but much more sophisticated. For instance, want to brake while drifting right in a racing game? Program to brake and go right on one press. How bout setting a bomb or grenade to detonate while also throwing it. By having these usual 2 step keys rolled into a single press, gamers will be able to be quicker and more efficient with the Huntsman V2 Analog. This is game changing and a big advantage to your opponents who do not have such keyboard. And I believe that is what the selling point will be for this new Razer Huntsman V2 Analog keyboard.
But enough yapping now. The video will show all the fine details of this keyboard. And it is a thorough one.
End the end we will see who this keyboard is aimed at and whether it is worth the Razer’s Huntsman V2 Analog Keyboard expensive price. Check out our full thorough review below to find out.
